📣 CoLAB NET4CO2 is seeking a highly qualified Senior Engineer/Researcher to join our Business Development team. This team maintains an updated database of technologies and processes, that help industries reach carbon neutrality, to develop different business cases and perform techno-economic and environmental assessments. The group has an integrated approach to carbon capture, transport, utilization, and geo-storage, and follows the latest standards for carbon footprint and sustainability reporting.
𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀:
•Conduct Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) for various industries and R&D projects and provide actionable insights to reduce environmental impacts.
•Stay updated on the latest policies and regulations at national and international levels, related to net-zero transition, CCUS technologies, and related fields.
•Provide technical expertise in the integration of sustainability strategies and environmental best practices into existing operations.
•Prepare sustainability reports, policy briefs, presentations and other deliverables aligned with the latest environmental regulations and frameworks.
•Coordination of integrated projects involving multiple disciplines and technical areas.
•Identify potential partnerships and collaborate with external partners, research institutions and industry experts.
•Identify and prepare applications for competitive funding.
𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀:
•PhD in Environmental Engineering.
•More than 3 years of experience in LCA, using SimaPro.
•Experience in environmental policy tracking and understanding of global sustainability regulations
•Strong understanding of environmental impact categories such as global warming potential, resource depletion, and human health impacts.
•Experience with processes related to carbon neutrality, circular economy, energy transition and/or industrial symbiosis.
•Ability to work in both short-term and long-term projects.
•Proven experience in identifying and preparing applications for competitive funding.
•Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems.
•Proven track record in R&D project management.
•Good communication skills (English).
•Valid working VISA to work in Portugal.
