Discover the National Autistic Society Garden: a showcase of cork's exceptional insulating properties. Cork's unique structure, with its low conductivity of heat, sound, and vibration, makes it the ideal material for creating private, serene spaces. The gaseous components within cork are enclosed in small, impermeable compartments, isolated from each other, providing unparalleled insulation. Cork's soft texture, unique sweet odour, and temperature close to that of the human body offer a comforting sensory experience. In this garden, cork masks frame vibrant gardens, symbolising the facade we present to the world. As you pass through cork walls, you enter a calm inner garden with a mossy dell, offering tranquillity and protection. Co-designed by Sophie Parmenter, with materials and technical support from Amorim Cork Insulation, and sponsored by Project Giving Back, this garden highlights cork's role in crafting soothing, secluded environments. We are proud to announce that our first "Capital Markets Day" took place. This initiative brought together Portuguese and foreign investors and analysts who, on the first day, met at Herdade de Rio Frio to learn about the Forestry Intervention Project, including the investments already made in this forestry property to increase the number of cork oaks per hectare, optimize cork production, and enhance biodiversity levels on this 5100-hectare property. The initiative coincided with the cork harvesting period, providing the opportunity to witness the extraction process, one of the most highly skilled forestry activities. Today, the delegation visited Corticeira Amorim's main industrial units: Amorim Top Series' new factories, Amorim Cork (highlighting the Naturity and Xpür technologies), the 3D Printing system from Amorim Cork Flooring, concluding with a visit to the factories and showroom of Amorim Cork Composites, exploring the potential of cork for new applications.
