AI4REALNET is an european project that aims to create an overarching multidisciplinary approach, combining emerging AI algorithms, existing open-source AI-friendly digital environments – to test and benchmark AI in industry-relevant use cases. AI4REALNET covers the perspective of AI-based solutions addressing critical systems (electricity, railway, and air traffic control) modelled by networks that can be simulated, and traditionally operated by humans, and where AI complement and augment human abilities. Yesterday, I had the incredible opportunity to attend my first conference and present the paper developed in collaboration with Sara Neves and José Coelho Rodrigues at IAMOT 2024. Our paper titled "Consumers' attitude toward energy-related digital solutions in Europe" aims to evaluate European consumers' attitudes towards adopting new digital solutions in the energy sector through an adapted version of the original Technology Acceptance Model. This paper emerged from our initial contribution to the Every1 project, which is part of our ongoing efforts at INESC TEC. It's an exciting step forward in the journey towards Europe's decarbonisation, and many more are to come!
