What have we done in the last thirty years? We have worked with passion and dedication to change the world. And we will continue to do so, day after day. We believe that this is the only way to make tomorrow. We have been interpreters, so that everyone understands the language of Law, a language that goes beyond words and which unites us towards a better world. Abreu Advogados advised a group of renewable energy companies in a wind farm tax case, where they challenged the legality of the Tax Authority's (Autoridade Tributária e Aduaneira) decision to set the Taxable Asset Value (Valor Patrimonial Tributário) in a wind farm. The Administrative and Fiscal Court of Viseu, in Portugal, decided that wind turbine towers are electricity production equipment and not a construction or building and, as such, do not fall within the concept of a building for Municipal Property Tax (IMI). Maria Dulce Soares, Alexandra Courela and Natacha Reinolds Pombo were the lawyers that represented this group of energy producers in this specific case. #abreuadvogados #futureinprogress #tax #energy #windfarm #wind #renewableenergy

A joint Finance and Infrastructure order, published yesterday in the Diário da República (the official gazette of Portugal), approved the launch of the tender for the PPP concession contract for the conception, design, construction, financing, maintenance and provision of the infrastructure for the Oiã - in the Aveiro district - to Soure - in the Coimbra district. Last Tuesday, in a statement issued by the Council of Ministers, approval was given for the respective expenditure.
