Protagonist Charlie battles a tag-team of demons, debilitated by agonizing migraines, he spirals into a prescription induced haze. His waking hours finding him increasingly haunted by a mysterious shadow aura man. Little escape is provided in sleep, as an episodic dream plays out in Charlie's head that finds him transported into a pine forest where he appears to be flying. Struggling to go straight in a crime proliferated society, a wife who never forgives and a cousin who never forgets make Charlie's battle increasingly complex. Charlie finds salvation in Vicki, an immigrant waitress with her own inexplicable past. Together they lock away their bad memories and close the door on the past forever.
