Returning homewards, he collides with a coal carrier, and spreads his length on the ground. A workman watering the streets gives him the full benefit of the hose. He purchases a large roll of blotting-paper, with which he endeavors to dry himself. This proving inefficient, Tontolini decides to dry himself in the sun. Gradually his clothes begin to shrink, till, at the end of half an hour, they assume impossible proportions.
