A mountain-biker finds a corps in the woods, with traces of wounding cuffing, several gun shots and bite marks. Tom guesses right it was a man hunt. The victim is a drug addict, who was saved from a theft conviction a few months earlier by his voluntary pro-deo lawyer Poortmans, whose hobby is hunting with hounds. The corps commander forbids him to continue the investigation, but Segers tracks down Poortmans took at least five cases of other drug addicted kids from the same address, a squat site, and guesses he is the man-hunter. The uniformed colleagues go though on littering, find a finch-breeder tried to make his insurance pay for 'stolen' birds he sold on the black market and handle an accidental fake bomb alert in student hazing season.
