Sky News' deputy political editor Sam Coates and Politico's Jack Blanchard are here with their guide to the day ahead in politics.

Labour sets out to tackle welfare, setting out their vision to get Britain working by addressing economic inactivity - could this be Sir Keir Starmer's biggest challenge yet? Or perhaps it's the first rebellion already on the cards for the new Prime Minister.

Plus, while Kamala Harris has said she has enough delegates to secure the nomination to become the Democratic Party’s nominee for President - the Tories delay announcing their leader until November, meaning a long wait to find out who Rishi Sunak's successor will be.

Missed US, always tough to know on the UK end

Cameron, who made a pig’s breakfast of Britain’s future through a Brexit referendum with almost no pushback on lies from the leave side, did not convince Trump to support Ukraine aid. Trump went quiet because the win for aid was going to happen. Same approach to primary fights on the Republican side.

Not saying that jumping on the winning side is unusual, just that Trump did NOT make this happen. All the MAGA in Congress voted against. This was a rare victory for Moderate R’s and the D’s — they all looked like grownups.
