About this app

Travel confidently around London with maps and live travel updates on our official TfL app. Check live arrival times for Tube, London Overground, DLR and Elizabeth line trains as well as Trams and IFS Cloud Cable Car. Make step-free journeys and look up station facilities. See on the map when stations and lifts are closed. Walking or cycling? Our reliable journey planner will map a safe route.

The app is built around our iconic Tube map. To get started:
• Touch the map or search to plan your journey
• See the status of all lines
• Re-route as you travel - we’ll suggest alternatives
• Switch to the step-free map for accessible journeys
• Find out when your next train, bus or tram is due
• Look up which platform your train will arrive on
• See when the stations you want to travel through are quieter
• Check out station information and facilities like toilets

Our simple and clear layout is designed to make using the app easy for everyone.

Planning your journey: We’ll suggest multiple ways to get to your destination – you pick the one that suits you best. Choose the quickest journey, bus-only or one that’s step-free.

Check before you travel: See how the line is running and when to expect your next Tube, bus, train or tram

Freedom to explore: Choose the right travel options if you or someone you’re travelling with needs to avoid steps, lifts onto a train or in a station.

Bus stops near you: Find the bus stop nearest to where you are, and next bus live arrival information for every route.

Available underground via Wi-Fi (or 4G in some places) for live updates on the go.

Just installed this app to plan a journey to Epping underground station. 1st problem is selecting Epping station - "Epping" with a red Central Line "blob" isn't the underground station, I have to scroll down the list to find it but it also includes a road name. Not very good when I've set my preferences to underground, overground and national rail only. 2nd problem - no simple way to scroll to later or earlier arrival times like the National Rail app does - have to restart and pick a new time.

Hi Mick, thanks for your review. The search result "Epping" with a red blob is the station, so if you choose that it will plan a journey to the station exit. Preferences for travel mode apply to the ways of travel, not the location you're travelling to. Hope this helps.

I hate this app! A very poor substitute for the old LT app. Listed bus arrivals often disappear with no explanation. I want to know the next bus arrival info, regardless of bus number. Really tough to find stop information, especially Superloop. Map is based on tube/tram services, no good if you live in a bus only area. No option to identify accurate frequent locations. Can you plan a route? No guidance or instructions. I could go on ... but it is not good.

No info on zones an generally useless. After reply from TFL - fair enogh I can find zones now - the app is still pretty useless and Google maps does a better job. I did change thecrating from 1 to 3 stars - quck response from your service team is much appreciated. TFL nees to do 1 thing - one app for maps, timetables/current dispatch time estimate, and an option to buy sesonal tickets/travel cards. Also the maps (bus, train an tube) need to be superimposed on the terrain for non-Londoners.

Hi, if you tap on a station on the map - you can see which fare zone that station sits in. You can also use the Search function in Directions, tap on a station result and then choose 'Show information' to access this. In addition we display the adult PAYG (Oyster or Contactless) fare alongside journey results.
