The HSBC UK Mobile Banking app has been created especially to help our UK customers do their everyday banking on the move. Download it today and you can:
• Log on quickly and securely with biometrics including facial recognition or fingerprint
• Make payments and check your balances on the go
• Pay in one or more cheques up to a limit of £2,000 per day
• Block, report lost and order a replacement card
• View or cancel standing orders and Direct Debits
How to log on to Mobile Banking
• If you’re registered for HSBC Online Banking, you can use your existing details
• If you’re not yet registered, simply download the app, then select ‘Register now’.

Move money
The HSBC UK Mobile Banking app lets you send money to family or friends using their account details or mobile number. Pay bills with pre-populated bank details for hundreds of major businesses. And instantly move money between your personal accounts.
Mobile statements
With the HSBC UK Mobile Banking app you can securely access your current account, savings and credit card statements.
Mobile cheque deposits
The HSBC UK Mobile Banking app lets you pay in cheques without going to a branch by selecting the account, entering the value then scanning the front and back of the cheque. Please keep any cheques until they show in your account. £2,000 per day. Cheques deposited before 10pm on a working day will be available by 11:59pm the next working day.
Block your card
Ever lost your card, only for it to turn up the moment you cancelled it? With the HSBC UK Mobile Banking app you can place a temporary block on your card with just a few taps. It will stay blocked until you unblock it, or it can be reported as lost or stolen.
Live chat
Need help or assistance? Select 'Chat with us' in the Support menu and, if you’re a Digital Secure Key user, we’ll send you an alert when we reply. So you're free to get on with your day.
Gambling restriction
You can choose to restrict transactions made to gambling businesses, such as casinos and online betting companies, and recurring transactions such as The Postcode Lottery. The block only applies to individual cards held in your name.

Good app, but I hate that it deletes payees if you haven't used them in a while. RESPONDING TO HSBC'S RESPONSE: What's the point of deleting them, we have added them for a reason for them to stay! If I'm sending birthday money which is once a year it is frustrating to keep adding them back on the account, when all my other banks do not delete my payees. It's very annoying and a stupid idea to delete them after 1 year. Why are they deleted if there is no security risks. Makes no sense.

Hi Simone 😀 We store the payees details for one year. If no payments are made within that time, the information is removed from our systems. I hope you've been able to successfully set up your payees again. 🙏 -Jack

The app feels outdated. For example the spending categories are often wrong and there is no way to fix the category for a vendor for all transactions across months. The category can be changed only for a single transaction, which makes me give up this potentially useful feature as the category of so many transactions are incorrect (imagine fixing all the incorrect categories every month!). A dark theme option and graphs to visualise money flow would also be great and would modernise the app.

Normally its fantastic, works really well and intuitive. However recently i have not been able to access the app. It gets stuck on the loading screen. I have noticed this since trying to access the app in a different country which is an issue :(.
