Starting with the cons: 1) Relatively expensive 2) No quality control over the various blinks. They range from very good to quite bad. Also would help to have user reviews to know which blinks are good. There are plenty of pros though: 1) Life is too short to read a bad book. I don't think a blink can completely replace a book but it does help sort the good books from the bad ones. And then you can decide to buy the whole book if you really liked the information in it. 2) The audio books are a fantastic companion when doing chores/exercising etc 3) Extensive selection of titles, categories and the "for you" section gets it right more often than not. 4) Is really useful for the sort of books that can be condensed into points

Everyone who wants to improve themselves should get this app. It's an incredible resource of knowledge and what makes it even better is that you can choose whether to read or listen. I love reading, but sometimes I turn to the audio book when transporting. Splendid app! I only have the free version (one book a day) but I'm intending to get the full version when I have higher spending power

Update: The link sent in reply did help hide the player. Can't shut off sound though, so no more blinks, just scrolling. Loved when it was a reading app. I still like reading it, but hate the music & voices automatically playing. The automatic sounds drive me crazy & you can't opt out of that. If you click a blink it defaults to sound. If you click READ, you have to scroll - no 'blinks'(chapters). Blink titles are repeated in the paragraph text. The old version was more for me.
