On Friday, IOM Poland handed over the keys to the new collective centre on Ogrodowa Street back to Property Management Municipality of Urząd m.st. Warszawy after completing the renovation of the building. Tears and laughter filled the air! 🎶 United by their love for music and singing, the Intercultural Choir, which composed of Kraków residents, migrants and refugees all from eight different countries , showcased the power of intercultural dialogue, mutual respect, and cultural sensitivity through their performance. The results of this three-month project will be presented on July 24 at 11 am. Here, they practice Polish and English, easing their integration and helping them find meaningful work. This warm, inviting space is owned by Nadia, a fellow Ukrainian who understands their journey. In our latest video, meet Edward, an extraordinary individual who lost his eyesight in his twenties. Despite this, he radiates positivity and joy, sharing his love for music with the residents of Kraków by strumming his guitar in the city’s Old Square. One of the biggest shelters in Poland is almost ready. The building is undergoing a remarkable transformation to meet humanitarian and European standards, setting a space for refugees from Ukraine.
