Moreover, it develops and changes quickly, so I agree that complexity plays a crucial role in explaining to potential customers how beneficial it can be for their business. My advice is to be highly prepared before talking to your target audience about blockchain. Only your confidence and expertise can help you overcome the barrier of mistrust in this technology.

Plan big, but act small. The idea of shifting all your business to the cloud at once can be quite attractive, I know. However, it’s better to begin this process step-by-step to avoid complications. I recommend making these steps as clear and understandable as possible to all parties involved. I call them baby steps. If something goes wrong down the road and the process fails, you can roll back and see how to fix the problem. It can be quite problematic, though, if you want to finish a complex transformation in one sitting.

You always need feedback to assess digital performance. Any sources are valuable as they contribute to forming a comprehensive picture of success or failure. However, from my experience in the FMCG industry, feedback from field personnel such as sales representatives or merchandisers holds greater value than others. I suggest prioritizing opinions about digital tools from individuals working with them in the field. This input can provide more valuable insights compared to information distilled from reports and presented at meetings by top managers.

Developing a digital mindset and literacy is vital for understanding the modern business world. You can’t survive without these skills nowadays as an entrepreneur and business developer. However, digital transformation isn’t for one person in a company. It doesn’t work this way. I mean, you need to prepare your entire team for this process. So, you have to possess the skill of persuasion, the power of explaining to your people how DT will improve their work and benefit the business as a whole. Sometimes, it’s more challenging than the technical side of the transformation.
