Piotr Sokolowski

For over two decades I have worked in the medical technology and telecoms space. With an engineering background, I have managed teams designing and delivering connected medical devices and digital health applications for leading medtech and pharma companies like Philips, Cochlear, Merck-Serono and Mallinckrodt.

In my current role at S3 Connected Health, I develop our strategy and offering for medical device companies to help them take full advantage of the opportunities connected medical devices and digital health services bring. I have long-term experience in medical device design as well as in-depth knowledge of digital health strategies and digital therapy management solutions that scale across globally diverse markets.

I believe that connectivity is dramatically changing the landscape of healthcare delivery by enabling services that improve patient outcomes, enhance operational efficiency, and drive the move towards value-based care models. Medtech companies will need to look to connectivity and around-the-device services to remain meaningful stakeholders in healthcare.

I split my time between Ireland and Poland and regularly attend and speak at Medtech events throughout Europe and the US. I would be happy to connect online or in-person to discuss developing your company’s strategy for connected medical devices and services.

Beyond my day job I work with people to help them achieve their goals, expand their horizons, and reach their full potential – in other words I’m a coach and a mentor. Coaching is my way to give back to the community after many years of studying and learning from all the smart people I met in life. My focus is on using cross-functional mental models to improve the quality and speed of thinking and enhance decision making processes. I use Solution-Focused coaching based on Erickson methodology. I work mostly with managers and executives from medtech and digital health companies globally. Most of my coaching is done via videoconferencing. In my free time, I can be mostly found outdoors - climbing mountains on various continents or doing one of my cross-country hikes (one of which I described in a book).
