👓Today we held a WEG Masterclass on the topic of Creating a Clear Sales Message, led by the fantastic James Newell and hosted at the headquarters of BNP Paribas Bank Polska, for WEG portfolio and WEG friends. The session included many, as James said, seemingly obvious insights - but which most companies - big or small - don’t adhere to. They become so engrossed in their offering that they tend to get lost in the perspective and understanding their (prospect) clients may have. 🍯Just a few golden nuggets from the session: 🛬 Sell the destination and not the journey ❌ Make sure your prospect clients know what the consequences will be if they don’t buy your service/product ✂️ Don’t presume that your audience understands the abbreviations or jargon you use - what is obvious to you is not necessarily obvious to others Massive thanks to James, to the fabulous Innovation crew at BNP, and as always to WEG Community ✨ #investing #community #sales

📢 We are very proud to see two of our deals in the finals for the PSIK, the Polish Private Equity & Venture Capital Association Awards 2024! The two deals are: Contec S.A.: In 2023, Contec secured a PLN 72 million (EUR 15 million) funding round from VINCI, Blachy Pruszyński, Warsaw Equity Group, and Mariusz Machcinski. This funding marked Poland's largest round in the Climate Tech sector in 2023. The capital injection is earmarked for expanding Contec's Szczecin plant, enabling the company to triple its production capacity and process 33,000 tonnes of waste tyres annually. and Piwik PRO: In 2017, WEG invested in Clearcode (software services) and its subsidiary, Piwik PRO, in the product business. Later, the group was split into two separate entities with separate management teams. At the time of exit in 2023 to Cookie Information (Danish tech vendor), Piwik PRO reached EUR 14 million (annual recurring revenue) - over a 7x increase since the initial investment.
