StorkJet has been awarded a €1 million grant (4.3 million PLN) from the European Union to finance a new project aimed at enhancing the monitoring of aircraft deterioration during the climb phase.   As aircraft age, they burn more fuel than new aircraft. Airlines must monitor each aircraft's actual performance to properly plan fuel for upcoming flights. This process is especially important during the climb phase, where, for example, turboprop aircraft can use up to 60% of flight fuel. Currently, performance is measured only during the cruise phase.   Using advanced machine learning techniques on real flight data from QAR/FDR "black boxes," we will create time-dependent fuel consumption models for the climb phase. This will allow us to optimize fuel planning and increase pilot confidence in flight planning system predictions, resulting in reduced discretionary fuel. Consequently, airlines will reduce overall fuel consumption, cut CO2 emissions, and enhance flight safety.   This research and development effort will significantly enhance our products, "AdvancedAPM" and "FlyGuide FPO," leading to additional fuel and CO2 reductions for our customers.   It will play a crucial role in aviation technology, contributing to cost reductions for airlines and supporting environmental sustainability.   #Storkjet #Sustainability #FuelEfficiency #Aviation #FunduszeUE
