In our new ESG strategy "Beyond Profit" we focus on: 📍 UNLOCKING Sustainable Growth 📍 BOOSTING Environmental Responsibility 📍 EMPOWERING Fair and Equal Business   Within the second pillar of our strategy, our companies are taking steps to reduce theirs environmental impact. A perfect example from one of our recent acquisitions – Pfleiderer.  Recycling is embedded into the company’s DNA and environmentally friendly production is an important element of the company's development. Thanks to the new investment in the factory in Wieruszów, the company will be able to significantly increase the amount of recycled raw material in the production of its boards. “We have invested more than 60 million zlotys in order to protect the environment, but also to ensure that our trade partners have access to products of the highest quality, products that meet the ever-growing needs of environmentally conscious consumers," says Grzegorz Kulesza, Managing Director of Pfleiderer Poland. Pfleiderer's new investment is to increase the commitment of post-consumer wood consumption from the current 30% to 50%, which will not only reduce fuel consumption, including natural gas, but also CO2 emissions into the atmosphere - by approximately 600 t per year. Between 2018 and 2022, a number of pro-environmental investments were made at Pfleiderer's factories, including a rainwater treatment plant, completely new filter stations, and the return of production water for reuse was applied at many sites.
