Thanks to our friends from organizations FAAS -Forum on Automotive Aftermarket Sustainability and APRA Europe AISBL we had opportunity to present and discuss remanufacturing aspects of EV batteries. The event was held on Automechanika Frankfurt in the Sustainability Area during Remanufacturing Day. There were several presentations done, including the one by Michael Boe (BorgWarner) and Michael Hague-Morgan from Autocraft. A life, energetic discussion panel was held afterwords, with Frank Schlehuber from Clepa, in which the main problems of dealing with used EV batteries were highlighted. The panelists agreed about crucial role of aftermarket associations in the process of explaining European authorities how important is the reman segment to deliver the best into green revolution and sustainability of the automotive business.

We are pleased to announce that the EVorkshop team will be present at the 8th electric vehicle rally. The organisers are offering competitions with prizes and activities for children as well, besides that we encourage you to find our stand and get to know the team. Entry is free, so everyone is welcome to attend this exciting event.

The well known Nissan eNV200 is also used as a bus. An Austrian company K-Bus GmbH produces the special body on the chassis of eNV200. Interesting point is that the battery can not be mounted under the floor, as in original car. It is shifted on the bus roof, which makes eventual repair a little bit more funny… EVorkshop have had few occasions to repair and upgrade such batteries at one of the customers. Results: range over 500 km with 64 kWh battery, which enable the bus to make a whole day without charging. Another such vehicle, already waiting for an upgrade in our workshop

We have been invited by our friends from FAAS to gave a short overview on the battery reman process during Automechanika in Frankfurt. Be there 11.09 at 13:50 ! Hall 5.0 C10.

Amazing ! We have had opportunity to promote ourselves at the pavilion of United Arab Emirates. This is a fast growing market for BEVs and they realize the problems with degraded batteries are coming on fast. Who knows, maybe we will develop the business in a quite different region…
