🔴 Important Update 🔴   Starting today, Balcia Insurance SE is introducing new Travel Insurance Terms & Conditions. Monkeypox is now included as a covered event in the case of a pandemic. 🌍✈️   This decision follows the World Health Organization's declaration of a global health emergency due to a new strain of monkeypox. Since the first case of this strain (Claid 1 b) has also been detected in Europe (Sweden), we have updated our coverage to include this disease, similar to our existing coverage for COVID-19. 🦠   Balcia Insurance SE advises against traveling to countries affected by the virus. 🚫✈️ However, if travel cannot be canceled, rest assured that our insurance will cover expenses even if the situation escalates into a broader pandemic. 💼🔒   Monkeypox can spread from various rodents and monkeys to humans, with symptoms including fever, headaches, muscle aches, and a rash. Transmission can occur through contact with infected animals, people, or contaminated surfaces. 🤒🦠   The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control reports no immediate threat of a major outbreak in Europe.
