BA Glass has received the Leadership in Sustainability award at the 2024 Sustainability in Business Awards Gala, in Bucharest. This recognition highlights our commitment to pushing the boundaries of sustainable innovation and adopting environmentally responsible practices throughout the glass industry. During the event, our Sustainability Manager, Nuno Vieira, took part as a keynote speaker in the roundtable "Sustainability put into practice" where he shared our journey and initiatives in embedding sustainability across all areas of our business. BA GLASS is one of the biggest producers of glass containers in Europe destined for the food and beverage industries. With more than 100 years of history, BA GLASS grew and nowadays create more than 7 billion glass containers per year, exporting to more than 70 countries. Every year we challenge ourselves to innovate and surprise our clients, using new technologies and skills and going the extra mile to appeal to their (and also our) consumers. As a member of Associação Business Roundtable Portugal, BA Glass participated in the recent Association's Communication Forum. The session, led by Carlos Moreira da Silva, President, and Pedro Ginjeira Nascimento General Secretary, and conducted by Miguel Jerónimo, Director of Communication at BRP, focused on identifying practical actions to enhance internal communication and engage the employees in the association's mission. For BA Glass is a privilege to be a member of BRP and contribute to boosting Portugal’s growth.

BA Glass Portugal, alongside six large Portuguese companies, is introducing a new model to present payslips to enhance financial literacy. Following the recommendation of the Associação Business Roundtable Portugal (BRP), this initiative aims to clarify the real costs of remuneration for employees. According to Carlos Moreira da Silva, President of BRP, the measure will help employees understand the impact of the tax wedge and social contributions on their salaries.
