We are thrilled to share two recent initiatives led by PARCO, aimed at enhancing community well-being through healthcare and education. In Khanpur, Mr. Nadeem Ajwad Chishti, Head Corporate Affairs and CSR, accompanied by the Deputy Commissioner of Shikarpur, inaugurated a state-of-the-art X-Ray machine at the Rural Health Center (RHC). This advanced equipment, the only one of its kind in the vicinity, serves over 20 patients daily and significantly benefits the community. During their visit, they also evaluated the dental unit, which assists over 50 patients daily, a facility previously provided by PARCO as part of our CSR initiatives. In Larkano, Mr. Nadeem Ajwad Chishti, Head Corporate Affairs and CSR, alongside Dr. Sharjeel Noor, Deputy Commissioner of Larkano, visited the Sir Shahnawaz Bhutto Memorial Library to assess the impact of PARCO’s support. Earlier this year, PARCO had facilitated the library with furniture and several accessories. The students expressed their profound gratitude for PARCO’s generous contributions. Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust (SKMT) honoured PARCO among other organizations that supported the life-saving mission of the Trust for the year 2022. The trust has been providing state-of-the-art cancer care facilities to needy cancer patients for the past three decades.   Dr. Faisal Sultan, CEO SKMT presented the award to Ms. Sharon Dias, General Manager, Group Corporate Affairs, PARCO at an event held in Karachi. Pakistan International Disputes Weekend (PIDW) is an annual legal convention focused on dispute resolution practices being hosted by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in collaboration with the Sindh High Court in Karachi. This year’s edition was held on 11th and 12th May 2024 and was attended by numerous distinguished local and international guests and speakers from the United Kingdom, China, and Turkey along with Honorable Judges from various High Courts of the Country and former Honorable Judges of Supreme Court of Pakistan.   During this event PARCO was conferred the “Excellence Award for Legal Compliance” by the Honorable Chief Justice of Sindh High Court, Mr. Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi, which was received by the Group Company Secretary and General Manager Legal, PARCO, Ms. Syeda Ameer Batool. This is a very special and proud moment for everyone at PARCO and an acknowledgement of the company’s adherence to the best legal and compliance practices.  #PARCO #PIDW

At the 16th Annual CSR Summit 2024, organized by the National Forum for Environment and Health (NFEH) in Karachi, PARCO was honored with the prestigious Corporate Social Responsibility Award for the 13th consecutive year. PARCO was recognized in 8 distinct categories, including CSR Initiatives, CSR Policy & Integrated Management System (IMS), CSR Report, Research & Publications, Government Initiatives & Distributions, Relief Efforts, Social Impact & Sustainability, Vocational Trainings, and Women Welfare, Empowerment & Development.   The awards were received by Ms. Sharon Dias-General Manager Group Corporate Affairs, Mr. Aly Zaki Ansari-General Manager Administration, and Mr. Faisal Amir-Chief Information Officer, presented by the Honorable MNA Mr. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig. This remarkable achievement is a testament to PARCO’s steadfast commitment to sustainable development and the company will continue to set new benchmarks.

With the aim of promoting sports and healthy activities amongst the youth, PARCO proudly sponsored the Night Football Cup 2024 organized by Better Future For Pakistan, at the Baloch Mujahid Football Stadium at Ibrahim Hyderi. A total of 62 teams from four Districts of Karachi participated in this exciting tournament, showcasing their talent and passion for the game. The grand finale drew a massive crowd of 60,000 spectators from across Karachi, adding to the electric atmosphere. At the final ceremony, Mr. Nadeem Chishti, Head External Affairs – PARCO, presented the sponsorship cheque to the organizers. The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Mayor Karachi, further highlighting the significance of this initiative in fostering community engagement and sportsmanship.

The Honorable Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif presented the ‘Compliant Taxpayer Awards’ to leading taxpayers, exporters, businesses and individuals in a ceremony held at the PM Office. PARCO ranked amongst the Top Five in the Highest Taxpayer (All Taxes) category.   Mr. Irteza Ali Qureshi, Managing Director-PARCO received the award from the Honorable Prime Minister of Pakistan. This achievement underscores PARCO’s commitment to responsible tax practices and its dedication to contributing towards Pakistan's economic growth and prosperity.
