FMCGs have a short shelf life because of high consumer demand (e.g., soft drinks and confections) or because they are perishable (e.g., meat, dairy products, and baked goods). Food safety Many food safety definitions are listed below: •“Food safety” describe the practices and conditions that preserve the quality of food to foodborne illness and prevent contamination. •“Food safety” includes safety and quality throughout the whole food chain. •"Food safety" is a set of strategies and policies to guarantee food safety, quality, and nutritional value. •"Food safety" refers to the different strategies and processes that are carried out by manufacturers, producers, and marketers to ensure that the food and beverages produced are safe, quality, and nutritious. •The art and science of handling, preparing, and storing food in order to limit the danger of people falling ill from foodborne illnesses. •Elimination and Management of biological, chemical, and physical hazards that are grown in food chain like processing, distributed, and sold food. •Food safety is the prevention of food contamination before it reaches the consumer by ensuring that all the food products sold in the marketplace are safe for all customers. •Food safety professional: Manufacturing foods that are safe to consume and that are made in a hygienic and sanitary processing environment. •The regulations, policies, procedures, and programs that ensure the safe production, packaging, distribution, and delivery of food is safe. •Food safety is a way of life to consume safe food at all time.
