Indiepocalypse #53
A downloadable game for Windows
ISSUE #53
Cover - Aleta Perez
Hello and welcome to Indiepocalypse!
Indiepocalypse is a curated monthly collection looking to highlight the very best of the alternative indie game scene.
Each month features games by 10 different developers, including a newly commissioned game exclusive to the bundle-zine. The games cover a wide variety of styles, genres, and themes as they fight against any definition of "indie game" as a genre.
Also, and this part is very important to me and should truly be taken as given, each contributor is paid and developers are paid royalties on all future sales.
This Month's Games
Someone to Hold Me (WIN/MAC/Linux) by Meiri Games

Parfum Nostalgique (WIN/MAC/Linux/Browser) by Priro.pro
Parfum Nostalgique is a kinetic visual novel series that details a small but eventful window of time in the life of 265 year-old therapist-by-day, dom-by-night vampire, Valdemar Andressen.
A story of friendship, tragedy, and unconditional love that explores the conflict between moral personhood and the human necessity of wearing different masks, Parfum Nostalgique is a coming of age for those who have already come of age, or what some would call a “mid-life crisis." Because every crisis is "mid-life" when you're immortal!
In Act 1, meet Val and the main cast, and strap in for a wild ride of twists, turns, and tears accompanied by a vintage shoujo manga-inspired art, an original soundtrack, and a robust cast of voice actors.
The Last Shining Star (Browser) by Emily Su
The Last Shining Star is a short story-driven game about a dying star's last hour, struggling with loneliness, and the universe experiencing a heat death.
This is Normal (WIN/Browser/Android/iOS) by Anna Krasner, Nadia Shammas, Fawn Fitter
THIS IS NORMAL is a short, light-spirited edu-game about self-managing abortions with pills at home. Our game hopes to demystify a historically shrouded topic (how abortions with pills actually work), and destigmatize misconceptions around abortions as unsafe, scary, or shameful.
We hope that with our fun, engaging mini-games and providing additional resources and information, we can show how abortions are a regular part of healthcare…totally normal!
Rarity (WIN/MAC/Android) by Mary Tallontire
Explore and re-organise the small landscapes and story so you can get back to reality again.
