Swinging Crab
Description
Swinging Crab is a 2d platformer game with 6 exciting levels (and a tutorial level) to speedrun. You're a crab with the goal to reach the end of every level as fast as possible. The game was made for VimJam5 with the focus on "Racing", the semi-optinal theme "Escape" and the diversifiers "4 color palette" and "animal characters".
Controls

You can disable mobile controls in the top right corner.
A move Left
D move Right
E swing
space jump
escape quit
P pause
Important
If you play the in-build web player, make sure to play in fullscreen

Development
Development time: 30h
I worked solo on the game from Tuesday - Sunday in my freetime.
All Assets (-> sprites, sound effects, music, UI, ...) except the font were made by me.
Font I used: Tripfive
If you want to use my sprites and music you can download the spritesheet and the soundtracks and use them in your project under the CC0 license.

I cannot see the entire game canvas unless I switch to full screen mode and I must be terrible at this game since I couldn't get past the most basic stuff of level 2... It did not help that upon losing a heart it would not register (in my head) that I died and I was still holding down the right button which led me over the cliff to lose a heart, again and again...
I certainly like the effort you put into this. Keep it up!
thx for your feedback! When I and some other people playtested the game, we also found out that it‘s a bit difficult.
