@Danielsberger How big does the data set need to be? One hour? One day? It gets big very quickly.

we're moving towards an API to get the data, so this does not seem as relevant anymore.

I came across another idea for an addition to the API: return the top 100 user pages per day. Or more generically for any given namespace.

@Tbayer I think applying a regexp to the UA column in Eventlogging is the simplest way to start. You can probably borrow from the implementation of the PageView definition. There's also another regexp developed by research that @madhuvishy might be able to dig up.

@Slaporte just suggested another feature that would make life easier: It would be nice if the Top API included the Page ID and the Namespace ID. The ID helps lookup articles more easily... and the Namespace is useful for filtering out non-articles (especially when looking at other languages).

@mforns, we should remove references to all-days and all-months entirely.
