@Mattflaschen-WMF @WhatamIdoing @APalmer_WMF - Matt should be working with Aeryn to update the various cookie documents to 1 year. When is it going to be changed over?

Has this been adjusted so that it deletes the logs after 30 days?

Isn't this a duplicate ticket? See https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T68699

@Mattflaschen - Has this been changed to one year now?
Aeryn - Can you review? Upon quick review, I don't think a change is needed but you can make the final call. To me, "Information Produced" with a Yes/No legend is a more reliable and consistent metric than "Granted/Denied". For example, "Granted" indicates that the request was complied with in full and unamended whereas there are times that requests are narrowed or denied in part as a result of WMF pushing back on the request. Therefore, I think that Information Produced is a more accurate gauge of the result of the request.

Upon clicking the survey, the participant should be greeted with a legal disclaimer that includes the language "By answering our questions, you consent to the transfer of your responses to the United States and other places as may be necessary to carry out the objectives of this project." and gives the option of exiting the survey if the participant is not ok with such a transfer. Hope this helps.

You're welcome. FYI - We plan on gradually adding more official translations over time and as budgets allow.
Those can all stay (assuming they haven't been vandalized), but there should still be a clear disclaimer stating: Please note that in the event of any differences in meaning or interpretation between the original English version of this Privacy Policy and a translation, the original English version takes precedence.
The official translations were in Spanish, German (low), French, Arabic, and Japanese, and more recently Italian and Brazilian Portuguese.

Hi All - It would be great if we could prioritize this bug a little more. It has privacy and Creative Commons licensing implications. Please ping me if you would like to discuss further.

From a legal perspective, this proposal is in compliance with our privacy policy and terms of use. However, I would like to echo the cautionary comments already made on this thread of overly broad blocks occurring as a result of this cookie, particularly in multi-user scenarios.
