This task involves the work of making it possible for people to easily change the comment they are replying to.
This ticket is a response to @nayoub noticing the potential for people to become confused about what to do in the event that they realize that they are meaning to respond to a comment that is different from the one they have a Reply Tool already open "for."
Behavior
- Open a Reply Tool to respond to "Comment A"
- Realize you meant to respond to "Comment B"
Current
- ❗️Become confused about why you can't click/tap the Reply button "attached" to the comment you wanted to respond to ("Comment B")
- Assumption: people might not think to shift their attention from the Reply link that is related to the comment they are meaning to respond to (read: "Comment B") to the Cancel button within the Reply Tool related to the comment they mistakenly started to respond to (read: "Comment A").
- ❗️Realize that in order to respond to "Comment B" instead of "Comment A," you first need to click/tap the Cancel button within the Reply Tool related to "Comment A"
- Click/tap the Reply button "attached" to "Comment B"
Desired
- ✅ Click/tap the Reply button "attached" to "Comment B"
NOTE: this ticket is scoped to scenarios where people have NOT already typed any text/content into a Reply Tool so as to avoid people having to decide what to do with the content they entered into the Reply Tool they no longer want open.
Done
- Desired behavior is implemented
