List of steps to reproduce (step by step, including full links if applicable):

• Build a Wikidata Query
• Obtain the short link
• Example: Female astronomers https://w.wiki/46Ux
• Click on the link

What happens?:

We get a screen with only a large Wikidata logo.

• The query is not executed
• The show Query option does not work
• Other left and right menu options do not work

What should have happened instead?:

• The query should have executed
• The query results should be shown
• Menu left and right options should be available (preferably they should be visible)

Software version (if not a Wikimedia wiki), browser information, screenshots, other information, etc:

• Chrome and other browsers

Suspected problem:

• Problem in Wikidata Query embed.html script

Workaround:

In the resulting full URL https://query.wikidata.org/embed.html#SELECT ...

• Remove the "embed.html" part of the URL, then press "Enter".
• Then you have the standard Wikidata Query interface...

Consequences:

• w.wiki short URL link for wikidata query does not work
• users are confused and do not know what to do
• they ignore the URL and are not able to see the results or use the query
• workaround is clumsy
