Description

Goal: Simplify how instrumentations are created.

Impact:

  • Reduces time to create new instrumentations
  • Automates the capture and population of common data points so they no longer need to be accounted for separately by different instrumentations

Success Criteria:

  • Identifies common data points collected across majority of instrumentations
  • Datapoints are clearly defined in an easy-to-understand way for newcomers
  • We clearly align on how to populate/generate/calculate data points

This is superseded by T370880: [EPIC] FY 24/25 SDS 2.1.7 | Alpha Release of Instrument Configuration System (MPIC) and more generally by SDS2.1. I'll try to dig more epics out of Phab but, for now, this task can be declined. Being bold.
