As Wikidata items grow in length and number, watchlisting them in their entirety is becoming less effective for those who do not solely curate on a per-item basis (but e.g. on the basis of specific properties or references or queries).

It would thus be good to be able to watchlist things at a higher granularity, e.g. statement level, and to be able to add and remove them on the basis of, say, a SPARQL query.
