Yes, I feel the exact same thing. Either we should see if it is possible to move the three links to the main menu to get rid of the hamburger menu on non javascript enabled browsers, the extra page view to get to the main menu is stressful or add more content so it at least add some value for the user.
When I do it on my phone it is not as fast as in the example gif the extra page load really takes time even if I'm on wifi.
