@mobrovac: You changed a few files manually on that instance. Do you still remember which changes were required to enable visual editor on that instance. Moreover for labs-vagrant use cases it would be great of restbase would not use a special port and could just be pointed to /api like it's done in production e.g https://en.wikipedia.org/api/rest_v1/?doc

Apply Gerrit 252598 to your MW-Vagrant instance (in srv/mediawiki-vagrant) and run vagrant provision and it should work for instances with a public IP and DNS.

We'd need to set-up a rewrite in Apache. To be investigated.
