Established in 1951, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) is the leading intergovernmental organization in the field of migration and is committed to the principle that humane and orderly migration benefits migrants and society. In 2003, the Global Administrative Centre was established in Manila (now known as the Manila (Global) Administrative Centre or MAC), and provides global support in the areas of finance, human resources management, information technology, staff security, and project monitoring among others.
