Solstad have successfully bunkered 500 m³ of certified renewable biodiesel (HVO) on the AHTS Normand Prosper. Solstad now offers certified renewable biodiesel to its clients to decarbonize existing offshore vessels in the transition period towards zero-emission technologies in the future. The renewable biodiesel can be used in existing vessel machinery without modifications and reduced Greenhouse Gas emissions by over 90%. This marks the first use of renewable biodiesel in Solstad's fleet and the first for an Anchor Handling Tug Supply vessel. Read the full press release on our website: https://lnkd.in/gxBzxQTf

Disembarking Normand Navigator - Day 5 "It has been an absolute pleasure to be onboard this week and spend time with the crew, partners and clients. My experience is that the moment you enter a ship you can immediately recognize a well driven vessel. It is clean, tidy, well-maintained and you are warmly welcomed onboard. This is the case on Normand Navigator. I have made a few reflections during the week, and one of them is that we must never forget how important everyone onboard is for the final result. It is about the crew on bridge, engine and deck, but it is also about the catering crew who are essential for the working environment onboard and the trainees/cadets, that with their high motivation, learn from the more experienced sailors.  It is about mutual respect between nationalities, and it is about making one-team between the vessel crew, clients and various contractors that always are a part of a subsea project. Thank you Captain Bjørn Brun for having me onboard this week. I have been very well taken care of and will come back to my onshore-based office with new ideas and full of inspiration.”    - Lars Peder Solstad In the picture: Peter Jhon Barrido, Emecel Franco, Eldorado Villaruz and Lars Peder Solstad.

Sailing with Normand Navigator Day 4 Regardless of technical solutions or alternative fuels, operational measures will have a significant and immediate effect on the vessel’s fuel consumption and thereby emissions. Operational measures are what Solstad Green Operations is all about, and it works! While onboard and sailing along the Norwegian coast, CEO Lars Peder Solstad, Captain Bjorn Brun, and Chief Engineer Stian Grasdal discussed the environmental measures they have implemented onboard over a cup of coffee.   Since January 2024, Normand Navigator has already completed 167 SGOs, which are operational initiatives to reduce fuel consumption and air emissions, and they have successfully saved 175 tons of fuel year to date. Solstad Green Operations are being done onboard all of our vessels. Every day, all year around, and the results of the crew's efforts are impressive. Since Solstad Green Operations was started in 2009, the fuel consumption has been reduced with over 350 000 tons. It is common sense and everyone wins – specially the environment.
