It has also broadened the horizon of opportunities I'm able to take to contribute to universal health coverage," shared Celina Ysabel Gacias, one of Pru Life UK‘s Chevening Scholars. Celina took up Health Data Science at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Pru Life UK, together with Prudence Foundation, partners with the British Embassy Manila in offering Filipino professionals a chance to pursue higher learning in education and financial literacy in the UK through the Chevening Scholarship. "With the scholarship, I was also able to experience life abroad for the first time and make dear friends on the other side of the globe, in one of the world's greatest cities no less," she added. It incorporates interactive and engaging activities that make financial learning enjoyable. Through games, simulations, and real-life scenarios, I will be able to apply concepts and skills in a practical manner, and make my learning process exciting and memorable," shared John Miguel Clasusan, Grade 4 student from Manapla Elementary School, District of Manapla in Negros Occidental. John is one of the 1M students reached by the Cha-Ching programme developed for children aged 7-12 by Prudence Foundation, the community investment arm of Prudential plc in Asia and Africa, in collaboration with JA Philippines, Inc. Josefa is one of the 90 women who joined the Family Health & Nutrition Training, one of Project Padayon Bantayan Island's programmes in which proper nutrition for children & their family members were taught through cooking demonstrations and distribution of cookbooks for healthy & budget–friendly meals. With the goal of uplifting the lives of residents of Bantayan Island, Cebu through a series of community-based training and development programs, Project Padayon Bantayan Island was funded by Prudence Foundation and made possible with Pru Life UK and Asia Society for Social Improvement and Sustainable Transformation (ASSIST).
