Everyone deserves an education, regardless of their background. With the school year in the #Philippines having recently begun, we launched a notebook distribution drive called "Balik Eskwela" – meaning "Back to school" – to hand over more than 40,000 notebooks to 159 schools in General Trias, Dasmariñas, Quezon Province, San Pablo City, and Cavite Province. The donation drive, formalized with the Department of Education - Philippines (DepEd) through a memorandum of agreement signing, aims to support and encourage students in Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon, especially underprivileged pupils, in their learning journey in the school year 2024-25. Spearheaded by MOONTON GAMES, "Balik Eskwela" is the first step toward forming a long-lasting partnership with DepEd through various educational programs. MOONTON Games has been implementing partnerships with learning institutions in the past, including community events catering to primary and tertiary school learners. 🏆 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) won the "Esports Mobile Game of the Year" at the Esports Awards 2024 for the second year running! MLBB was also a finalist for the "Esports Game of the Year" category. The award caps 12 months of industry-leading MLBB esports events. The inaugural Esports World Cup (EWC) concluded with the MLBB Mid Season Cup (MSC) 2024 making history as the tournament series' most popular title. The MLBB Women's Invitational (MWI) 2024 was also the only women's tournament held at the EWC, which featured a USD 500,000 prize pool, the largest purse in women's esports. In the words of Ray Ng, Head of Esports Ecosystem, who received the award: "A massive thank you our community, esports teams, organizers, and partners who believe in what we're building. Without you, there will be no MLBB Esports. We continue to build an open ecosystem which is diverse, inclusive, and competitive to bring the best experience for our players and fans around the world." We don’t just build games. We build communities. Last month, we prepared a treat for our Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) community in the #Philippines! We hosted the #MLBBKOLBrawlS2, a month-long tournament featuring the nation’s top content creators. The on-ground Grand Final was followed by the #MLBBVictoryNight2024, an evening to celebrate our whole community– from fans, pro players, celebrity guests, and even P-pop groups! We also hosted an awards ceremony to recognize content creators for their contributions in building up our community. Our heartfelt gratitude to the more than 2,000 people who showed up at Market! Market! for the KOL Brawl Grand Final, as well as to our fans who contributed to the 44 million views the whole tournament garnered online. The Grand Final and subsequent MLBB Victory Night was a truly spectacular showcase of community spirit, with icons such as AkoSi Dogie, Myrtle Sarrosa, and Sassa Gurl participating in an evening of relaxation, networking, and the sharing of stories over good food and fun activities.
