Hiergargo the Magician
CONTROLS: left, right, up, down
OVERVIEW:
The legendary American children's book author, L. Frank Baum, introduced mysterious Oz lore in his 1914 book "Tik-Tok of Oz," stretching the reader's mind into new worlds outside of Princess Ozma's dominions. Our adventurers learn of a magician named Hiergargo who, in Year of the World 19625478, built a tube that connects the land of Oz with the realm of the Great Jinjin. So the story goes, poor Hiergargo tumbled through the tube so fast that he shot out the other end and collided into a star. And that's all we really know...
Until now.
I present to you a playable adaptation (made with Bitsy game engine) of Hiergargo's building of the great tube, his implied self-destruction, and the events sandwiched in-between. There are a few familiar faces (Hiergargo, The Great Jinjin, Original Dragon) and one newcomer to the Land of Oz: The Oneironautilus!
Does Hiergargo ever reach the other side of the world? Is Dorothy and Toto in this? What's with the weird prehistoric sea life theme?
Look, just play it will ya?
