I ended up playing the two releases out of order, originally, I played Malum Incarnatum first. However, whether you play one game or the other. The story still continues to play out. I would actually recommend playing Malum Incarnatum first, then Carne Vescens, makes the story come together a little bit better in my opinion.
Imagine being unable to take care of one's self, the inability to move, while your fed whatever is given. The crying, uncontrolled by the want to escape, trapped in a cage of four walls.
This game represents a lot more then just feed a hungry child. It shows that not everything we see is 100%. Was there really a child being fed, was it the imagination of the mother helping her already perished child? Or maybe, the two games are connected, and the child was actually the main character in Malum Incarnatum who was abandoned by his mother. Maybe she only had enough funds to feed the baby, resulting in her cannibalistic tendencies in order to feed herself?
There is a lot of story to unpack from these two games that I'm excited to see in the full release. Can't wait for Carnal Sins!
Again, 10/10!

Thank you Out of the Ordinary World and Maximilian Reisenberger, for an enjoyable, insatiable hunger for storytelling!🌹
yk like the atmosphere, the aestetic, the concept itself. so disturbing yet so fascinating and intriguing. loved the real footage and loved the sentences.
Great game with the horrors of being a 'Mother' taking care of her lovely 'Child'. So I recommend you play the game yourself or just watch someone else play it for you. Well if you want?
Quick comment: There isn't much for me to say here, but I just like good story horror games more than scary horror games. So I like this game that's all I got to say!
What a unique concept ! I love when horror games take real life comparisons and make them into games (especially horror). Extremely well made and creepy as heck. Awesome job !
I made a video on your game if you're interested :)
That was a nice short game. Don't know if I overanalyzed it, but for me it felt like a double meaning. Not only the horror of mom feeding baby, but some meaning behind it about being a mother or the main provider to keep a baby alive. Good game. I really enjoyed it.
PS.: Rafix comment under mine is a pretty good feedback text! =)
I would like to give feedback on the game to help you with future projects! :D
The aesthetics and colors are wonderful, they give a very dreamy feeling and acceptance of a destiny, and this goes well with the narrative, I REALLY felt extremely distressed and disturbed playing it (in a good way, the game gave the feeling it wanted).
I don't know if it was a matter of time, but regarding the level design I think a lot of things could be arranged differently, firstly the house is very straight to the point, I can just move on and ignore all the built details, like the fridge, calendar, door, and these details help tell the narrative and place the game in the atmosphere, it would be cooler if we had to either interact with these objects before or the house was arranged in such a way that I had to walk through these scenes before proceeding
and also the transitions didn't seem very correct to me, things just flicker from one place to another, as it's supposed to look like an old video game, the transitions could be done with glitches, looking like the game has frozen, or with a black fade, or a very 2000s loading screen that when you touch a place the game stops all sounds, shows a loading screen, and then cuts to the other scene.
And the narrative is very interesting and disturbing, however I think it is told in a very direct way, you walk, go to the baby, read a text and make a decision, it would be more interesting if they were more "abstract" actions or with less explanation, and texts that explain the sensation of the mother or baby could for example flash on the screen like glitches as you walk towards the baby, or some object on the floor that reflects the emotion of the mother or baby, the part where there is several crosses and the text with blood was very good, things like that could be used in the middle of the gameplay, because the gameplay loop was like this, walk to the baby, read a text, make a decision, repeat, I'm not saying it's bad, but it wasn't intuitive, at the moment you are walking towards the baby nothing happens, and the screen is static, there are no shaders, movements in the scenery or different sound effects, at this moment it would be interesting to have visions and messages popping to read that scare the player and tell the story.
Furthermore, I missed some visual and sound effects to accompany the game, don't get me wrong, the aesthetics are incredible and the sounds were very sinister, but in many moments I believe there was a shake on the screen, a blur, or some different sounds could help the atmosphere.
But this is just feedback for improvement, everything I didn't mention is because it was very good and I really liked it, I loved the aesthetics and narrative of the game, I'll be very happy to see your next projects! :D
This was very creative my dude! Dark, a little disturbing and very weird. One of a kind for sure! It reminded me older art house horror movies like eraser head. Seriously really great job, great story, the presentation was amazing the eyes and mouths just give such a disturbing feel. I recommend completely! Check out my gameplay video, sub and help my channel grow!
Everything about this game is great, the plot, the atmosphere, the graphics. The only thing that I had problems with, was when playing with a controller, I couldn't rotate the player. Besides that, I loved the game. I'll be waiting for the next one!
i was creeped out the whole game ngl KKKKKKKKKKK but it was amazing!! its confusing in a way tat makes you wanna keep playing it no matter how weird or creepy it gets and the end gave me chills, tho i think it would be more interesting if the voice wasnt the cliche demonic and something more akin to a cry or a childlike voice, but i still loved it!
the visuals are insane, the real life interacting with pixels made it scary without having to be gory and the woman's eye and mouth kept me on edge for the next day
the last part made more sense out of the whole experience, howhever, i do miss the interactivity and desitions, even fake ones to serve the narrative, that games an provide, i have to wonder if this would be better as an aniamtion or video making the visuals and dialogue, the best parts, shine even brigther
THIS WAS AMAZING I LOVED IT!! This game was so creepy and had some crazy things goin on with the plot and I loved it so much GOOD JOB KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!
