Last week we had the pleasure of spending three days with some of the newest additions to our network at the Wealthpoint New Adviser Induction programme. Coming from an interesting and diverse range of backgrounds – and with a wealth of experience among them - one thing we were surprised to learn was how many gamers there were in the group! A warm welcome to Niraj Boricha, Jai Bothra, Erin Davis, Dhruv Patel, Andrew Webster, Christopher Wycherley, and Peter Seligman – it’s great to have you as part of our growing Wealthpoint network. 

At last month’s Wealthpoint Pathways Conference, our new advisers and our conference gold sponsors teamed up to construct bikes for Mayfield School in Blenheim. While wrenches and pliers aren’t standard tools of the trade for financial advisers, we think they did an outstanding job (with some help from Team Up Events NZ & Fiji). It was great to receive some photos of the bikes in action on a beautiful Blenheim day last week. It has been great to see the tremendous support for Pink Ribbon events around the country over the past week or so. Here at Wealthpoint Ltd, the team got together for a Pink Ribbon morning tea to raise funds to support the incredible work the Breast Cancer Foundation NZ does.   This week we celebrated the contribution some of our Members and advisers have made to the Wealthpoint network, and the wider industry, at an awards dinner at Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre in Blenheim. The Wealthpoint Annual Awards recognise excellence in our network and the importance of high standards of professionalism in our industry. We’re fortunate to have some of the very best  financial advice practitioners in New Zealand working in the Wealthpoint network so our judges had a very tough job. Congratulations to all of this year’s award recipients – you’re are a great representation of the dedication and professionalism in the Wealthpoint network. Our 2024 Wealthpoint Pathways Conference in Blenheim kicked off with an outstanding line-up of speakers who had the packed theatre thinking, and talking, about important issues and opportunities for our members, advisers, and clients. Changes to the CCCFA, aimed at introducing more flexibility in affordability calculations, have been welcomed by many in the Financial Services industry.
