Toyota New Zealand Limited

Motor Vehicle Manufacturing

It’s not the power of our engines that make us one of New Zealand’s most trusted brands. It’s the power of our people.

About us

How has Toyota stayed one of New Zealand’s most well-known, trusted, and biggest-selling  brands for more than 30 years? It’s all down to attitude. Our approach is the same as most Kiwis - we think on our feet, find creative solutions, and always have time for a laugh. By making sure that we’ve got the right people on our team, we can offer our customers great  experiences.     Although we are owned by Toyota Motor Corporation in Japan, we’re still very much an NZ company -  run by locals, for locals. We have independent stores in just about every city in New Zealand, our own Signature Class plant in Thames, plus corporate offices in Auckland and Palmerston North. No matter where in the country you are, you’re never far away from one of our teams.  In turn, we love getting the opportunity to support our local communities, and we work hard to earn our reputation for quality and reliability every day.     We’re always on the lookout for great people to join our Toyota family - if you’re interested in learning more, then check to our careers website. You’ll be able to read all about the departments that make Toyota what it is, staff stories, our shared values, and see any current  vacancies. • Our Brand Guardian Dame Lisa Carrington has always had a connection to the water. As New Zealand's most successful Olympian, she has brought home five Olympic Gold medals and a bronze over three Games. Her passion for sustainability, respecting the ocean and our beautiful country, drives her to want to look after it, taking small steps to better our environment for future generations to embrace and experience. "I have a philosophy around millimetre by millimetre, everyday just trying to do something a little bit better. At the end of the day, it adds up to something. For me, it's an approach to sustainability." - Dame Lisa. Enjoy the watch! For more info: https://brnw.ch/21wL84W

  • Our Brand Guardian Emma Twigg dreamed of being an Olympic champion as a young Kiwi, 20 years later she smashed that goal with an Olympic Gold and multiple World Champion medals under her belt! As an active athlete, Emma is hugely passionate about athlete wellbeing and leaving a legacy in her sport. Her goal is to ensure it's in a better place than when she started. "I love that there's a diverse array of people that can be inspirational to young Kiwis, I love that I'm part of that as well." - Emma. Enjoy the watch! For more info: https://brnw.ch/21wL6PV

  • Our Brand Guardian Cameron Leslie is a true inspiration, as a three-time gold winning medallist in the Paralympics, swimming mentor and proud father. Cam is passionate about focusing on people's capabilities rather than their disability and seeing people for who they are. "The life I was told to expect in the medical model was a pretty depressing story really, sport became my vehicle to prove people wrong. Those gold medals are my way of showing that my life isn't going to be what I'm told its going to be." - Cam. For more, read our latest press release: https://brnw.ch/21wL4vk

  • We’ve just been named as the business with “the best reputation in the country” after being awarded the top placing on the Kantar Corporate Reputation Index (CRI) for the first time ever, for which we’re both extremely delighted and very humbled. A big thank you goes out to our Toyota team, and all of New Zealand for your support. However, being number one isn’t a destination. It’s more so, validation that we’re doing things right on our journey we’re on. A journey to help make a greater New Zealand for everyone. Thank you. Let’s Go Places.
