Now imagine sealing roads at night in Christchurch, where temperatures drop to 5°C! In collaboration with Downer, our team at Road Science put the weather barrier to the test. ✅ Nighttime sealing with no chip loss ✅ Fully cured by morning peak traffic The untreated sites experienced chip loss, while the treated sites remained intact and fully cured, ready for peak traffic. 🌡️❄️ Turangi, in Central Waikato, New Zealand, is known for its extreme weather, with scorching days and freezing nights. ❗ This makes road maintenance a challenge, with the sealing season restricted to December through February. Traditional sealing methods often fail in cold, moist conditions, leading to weakened bonds and chip loss.
