🚧 A More Renewable Future with Ultra-Low Warm Mix 🌱 #RoadScience is advancing asphalt technology with ultra-low warm mix asphalt (WMA), reducing compaction temperatures to as low as 110⁰C. This innovation incorporates 50% Recycled Asphalt Product (RAP), reducing the material's overall carbon footprint. ♻️ First used on the North-East Link in Melbourne, this is a positive step toward more sustainable asphalt practices. 🔗 Check out the full details on the benefits and application of Ultra-Low WMA in the article below! 🚜🌍 #Sustainability #WarmMixAsphalt #Innovation #RecycledMaterials #Construction

Transforming Unsealed Roads: See the #Multipac Magic! ✨ Would you believe the first two photos below were taken on the same road in Victoria, Australia, just three months apart? The difference is that the section on the right was treated with Road Science's Multipac, developed in collaboration with Downer. Unsealed roads are vulnerable to water, leading to potholes that erode the road's surface and structure. Multipac forms waterproof bonds to prevent potholes and ensure a smoother, safer drive. Multipac Offers: 💧 Waterproofing: Keeps water out, protecting road integrity. 💪 Pothole Resistance: Strong bonds mean fewer potholes. 💨 Dust Suppression: Keeps the air cleaner and roads safer. 🚘 Excellent Ride Quality: Smoother drives for everyone. 👍 Low Maintenance: Less time and money spent on repairs. With proper drainage, Multipac is the long-term solution your roads need! For those in Australia wanting to know more, you can reach out directly to Hamed Haghighi or Michael He. In New Zealand, our equivalent product is #Haulpac and you can contact Darcy Rogers or Nikhil Vishwanath for more details. Check out the third photo for a comparison showing what happens when the un-treated and treated roads are in water 😬 👇 #RoadScience #InnovationInInfrastructure #SustainableRoads #Downer #Transport #Infrastructure

🌡️❄️ Turangi, in Central Waikato, New Zealand, is known for its extreme weather, with scorching days and freezing nights. ❗ This makes road maintenance a challenge, with the sealing season restricted to December through February. Traditional sealing methods often fail in cold, moist conditions, leading to weakened bonds and chip loss. Emulsions help, but curing is slow in cold weather. 🤔 🚧 In some parts of Waikato, the chip has difficulty adhering to bitumen, when traffic hits these seals, chip loss and stripping will happen. 📖 Read how the team in April 2023, reduced the stripping risk from an estimated 80% to less than 10% in the fourth short story in our series. 🧊 🔥 Weather barrier ensures durable roads despite challenging conditions and is key to maintaining road quality in extreme climates. 🚧 Learn how you can use Weather Barrier to combat extreme highs and lows, by contacting Darcy Rogers or Michael He (based in Australia), or check it out on our product page: https://lnkd.in/gQui_rMY #WeatherBarrier #BetterRoads #Roads #TransTasman #RoadConstruction #RoadScience #NewZealand #Australia
