We are delighted to share that we’re a finalist in the Techconnect World Innovation Challenge. At Inhibit we’re not just antimicrobials for coatings we also have solutions for thermoplastics, which are ideal for medical devices. So we’re heading back to the USA to present our cutting-edge antimicrobial solutions in the Medical Devices category of the TechConnect Materials Innovation Spotlight. As we kick off 2024 we’re excited to share our progress on our highly effective, non-leaching, antimicrobial polyurethane. We’ve been building our data pack, completing our acute toxicology testing with no irritation, sensitization or toxicity observed across all studies. Now fresh off the press, at the end of last year our ISO 10993-5 study demonstrated the coating to be non-cytotoxic. Our non-toxic, non-cytotoxic antimicrobial polyurethane can be utilized as an additive or standalone coating for medical device applications. We’ve got a growing range of devices and materials we’ve been working with customers on and are on the lookout for partners and device manufacturers interested in developing new non-toxic antimicrobial applications. Inhibit Coatings is attending the BIOMEDevice Conference in Santa Clara on the 15th and 16th of November. We particularly value the medical device industry. Antimicrobial medical devices are one of the most impactful applications of our technology. Antimicrobial medical devices consist of specialized medical instruments, implants, or materials designed to prevent or reduce the risk of microbial infection when they come into contact with the human body. These devices find applications in various medical procedures, from surgeries to long-term implants, and they incorporate materials or technologies that inhibit bacteria, fungi, viruses, or other microbial growth. Healthcare settings must use antimicrobial medical devices to minimize the risk of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and enhance patient outcomes.
