🥛 Danone has partnered with ifm to convert its Villecomtal-sur-Arros plant in France from dairy to #oatdrink production, responding to the growing demand for #plantbased beverages and aiming to reduce CO2 emissions and water consumption by 80%. The modernisation project, involved dismantling old equipment and installing new components using ifm's advanced automation technologies, AS-Interface (#ASI) and #IOLink. ⚙️ These technologies provided simplified cabling, improved diagnostics and efficient #sensor connections, enabling real-time monitoring and easy sensor replacement. Enjoy ice cream in seconds 🍦 ETS Energietechnik Satrup GmbH supports its customer Giovanni L. Gelato De Luxe with #icecreamproduction, ensuring a smooth production process. To close the ice cream tubs securely at the end, seals are positioned using a vacuum gripper. The #PQCube pressure sensors ensure that the process runs as desired and that the seals have been correctly gripped from the magazine and placed on the tubs. 👌 If the defined suction pressure is not reached during the gripping process, the gripper is moved upwards via a cylinder to avoid immersion in the ice cream. To achieve the fastest possible response times and precise switching points, the sensors were mounted as close as possible to the vacuum gripper using short hose lengths. Pump control in the slurry tanker 🚜 The traditional company Landmaschinen Wienhoff GmbH has been active in agricultural machinery construction for more than 90 years. The company's main focus is the manufacture and trade of slurry tankers and their distribution technology. In order to fill the tank of the slurry tanker at the farmer's, the slurry is sucked in using a vacuum and pumped into the tank. The vacuum must be kept in view at all times to avoid cavitation and the pump running dry. 🧐 While the pressure was previously viewed using analogue gauges and the pump was controlled manually, the PL1504 now monitors the pressure and communicates the values digitally to the control system, which controls the pump accordingly. 👌 When it arrives in the field, the slurry is pumped from the tank to the attachment before it is then distributed on the field. 🌾 To keep the application rate constant and the distribution clean, the sensor monitors the line pressure and ensures a constant minimum pressure. Smooth repackaging with the right vacuum 📦 For over 30 years, PCA Roboter- Und Verpackungstechnik GmbH has been developing individual solutions for packaging and palletizing a wide variety of products. The use of vacuum technology is an essential component of robot palletizing. Among other things, the vacuum is needed to move boxes to a defined position within a repackaging plant. Only when a box is gripped correctly can a vacuum be formed and the move started. 💡 The vacuum is monitored with PQ Cube pressure sensors. 💬 ...
