We're increasingly discussing "skill shortages" with clients, and largely that they are still there! As Janna Grant says "When that pressure on skills comes, people will choose with their feet - Businesses and employers who are not flexible will struggle" Organisations are starting to think a couple of horizons ahead now to reshape their attraction and recruitment. So if you'd like to learn more connect with us. (And yes this one is behind a paywall... but go in, it's worth it) https://lnkd.in/gGYfvA8a Hayley Thompson Ben Tinker Damian Sainsbury (he/him)

Just two weeks to go before Janna Grant and Ben Tinker speak at the next webinar in the Workplace Revolution series hosted by The EMA on 3 July. Joined by David Downs, CEO of New Zealand Story Group who will MC, and Cathy Hendry from Strategic Pay Limited, we’ll focus on how to stand out in a crowded market. We'll talk to how your Employer Value Proposition makes measurable operational impact as both a strategic and day-to-day tool. And how it will keep you authentic!

Innovation is about taking new approaches to solve problems. It’s one of the things we pride ourselves on. So, we were over the moon to be recognised by the RCSA at their annual awards last night with the award for ‘Excellence in Business Innovation’. We’ll celebrate this one on behalf of everyone who was involved in making a complex partnership work. Our partners, ACE New Zealand and the clients (often competing and also collaborating !) companies who teamed up with us to build an international campaign to tackle a critical talent shortage. We’ve got some exciting developments to share over the next few months with our clients and candidates, so stay tuned. Many thanks also to RCSA Australia and New Zealand for running and hosting a great event and to the new and renewed contacts we made on the night! #loveyourwork Rebecca Clarke FRCSA Beca Tonkin Taylor KiwiRailCook Costello Riley Consultants Jacobs ENGEO Helen Davidson Harrison Grierson WOODS Stantec Contact Energy Ltd Aurecon Pattle Delamore Partners Silvester Clark Consulting Engineers

"You gotta have Faith!" 🎸🎵 We have been working with Faith Botha since November 2023, last week she started her new position as a Medical Imaging Technologist in the South Island. Originally from Cape Town, Faith has taken a huge leap in relocating to New Zealand, we are super proud of her journey and cant wait to see her progress within our healthcare system. We spoke with Faith to get the inside scoop on relocating to New Zealand from South Africa. Check out her answers below; What motivated you to make the move to New Zealand? "The opportunity to explore and work in a different country, New Zealand has similarity's to South Africa such as cultural diversity and climate. It is a beautiful country and offers a high quality of life." How has your experience been immigrating to New Zealand from South Africa? "Overall the experience was fairly smooth. Getting my documents in order was the most challenging due to lengthy waiting times. I had the support of a friend who had already immigrated and I did a lot of my own research" What was your first impression of the Healthcare system? "The healthcare system is so well organised. Everyone works together to achieve one common goal which is patient well-being, and that truly warmed my heart. All the nurses, doctors, and hospital staff as well as the patients are extremely friendly and all work collaboratively, not to mention how well taken care of the hospital is." How has your experience been working with HainesAttract? "My experience with HainesAttract has been an absolute breeze. The company was there with me every step of the way. They made it such a seamless process as moving abroad can be extremely challenging. They took the weight off my shoulders and prioritised my wellbeing. A special mention to Amy Macleod who has been working alongside me this entire process. She’s such a pleasure to work with and regularly keeps in touch to make sure everything is on track and that I am feeling settled" What advice would you give to others wanting to move to New Zealand? "My advice to them would be to take that leap of faith. Moving abroad can be extremely overwhelming but I can assure you that you will look back and realise its all worth it. It may not be easy within the first few months but once you’re settled, it will begin to feel like home." Are you happy you have made the move? "Yes! I am very happy that I made the move. As I’ve mentioned before, it wasn’t easy and there were a few minor bumps along the way but I’m truly grateful that everything worked out and I’m truly thankful for this opportunity to live and work in New Zealand. I’m excited to see what the future has to offer!" Thank you for choosing New Zealand Faith! If you are interested in exploring healthcare opportunities in NZ, please reach out for an exploration conversation.
