Congrats 👏 to Senior Design Engineer, Sumia Wang, for her recent performance at the Taupo Marathon. Sumia took more than one hour off her previous personal best time, placing 26th in her age group in an impressive 3h56m. A big congrats 👏 to Auckland-based yachties and Garmin Ambassadors Francesco Kayrouz and Hamish McLaren for winning the silver medal 🥈 in the Junior World Championships that were recently held in Galicia, Spain. The Kiwi 49er crew have spent much of the past year working towards their goal and this achievement is a significant stepping stone as they build toward their aspirations of taking part in the 2028 Los Angeles Summer Olympics.

This past Sunday saw 15 Garmin New Zealand associates line up for the annual Waterfront running series on Auckland's Tamaki Drive. In near perfect running conditions, Sumia Wang, Peter Stevens and Rick Kahts turned in personal best performances across the 10 km and half marathon events. Well done to everyone who took part! 👏
