April is Autism Acceptance Month! 💙 The world can be overwhelming when it isn’t designed for you. For many autistic people, sensory overwhelm can be a daily experience. This year, Autism NZ is asking everyone to go Hoods Up, Volume Down. A nationwide movement for acceptance, understanding and accessibility. Businesses, workplaces, schools, and organisations are invited to participate in a national ‘quiet hour’. Turn down the lights, turn down the noise, and turn up for the autistic community of Aotearoa. You can find more information and resources at autismnz.org.nz
