🔶 It seems like everyone is talking about 'Working from Home' vs 'Return to the Office' lately! Within B:HIVE, we notice teams adopting many different models. Some teams work full time in the office, others rotate teams (sharing desks) so as to maximise cost efficiency of space. A number of hybrid models are at play, some members have half of their team “in office" and others fully remote - a couple of organisations in B:HIVE work largely remotely, whilst using the office as a space to "come together" as a team for connection and celebration. We are always inspired to see the different approaches to work models. 🔶 Sweating for a great cause! 🚴♀️ Our atrium at B:HIVE, Smales Farm was buzzing with energy yesterday, with the inaugural SPINFLUENCE event! A huge shoutout to Kevin Moultrie, B:HIVE member and SPINFLUENCE organizer, for bringing this incredible event to life! This 6-hour team relay spin challenge went beyond fitness – it was about building community, supporting a worthy cause, and boosting mental well-being through teamwork and fun. We loved seeing our B:HIVE members, alongside others from the business community, putting their spin skills to the test, getting in the community spirit and helping raise funds for RISE UP. Through the mammoth efforts and pedal strokes of 23 registered teams, SPINFLUENCE was able to raise funds to support the work of this charitable foundation that provides training opportunities and career pathways for disadvantaged/displaced rangatahi (youth) across Aotearoa. 🔶 Whilst online events present endless opportunities - we are really enjoying seeing increased demand for in-person events, not least because we enjoy showing off our own incredible events space with seminar room, fully functioning bar, auditorium and boardrooms available! (Just saying!) Brightstar is one of New Zealand’s leading conference providers.  We have been pleased to hold a number of Brightstar’s events at B:HIVE - and, we’re also proudly their home base - with the Brightstar team (of approximately 30 members) having a dedicated office at the B:HIVE, Smales Farm . 🌿 We’re 'plant people' at B:HIVE - and proudly so! Hundreds of indoor plants call B:HIVE home, with huge inbuilt planter beds on every level. Indoor landscaping greets our visitors - with lush greenery covering large parts of the ground floor.  It's fairly ambitious, but we aim to maintain a “one plant per person” ratio throughout B:HIVE.... and so far, so good! Aesthetically, it looks great - but we also think it supports wellbeing - and of course, provides many inspiring places to gather throughout the B:HIVE. We’re pretty proud of how well our indoor plants thrive at B:HIVE - testament to the fresh air and natural light that floods our spectacular space! 📲 Interested to see for yourself?
