Proudly sending off our first six cadets from our new Mangōpare Pilot Cadetship. They were chosen for their values, passion, and commitment, selected from over 2,000 applicants. 🧑✈️✈️ They'll spend the next 12 months in Arizona for their initial training before heading to Dubai to complete their ATR type rating (specific aircraft training). We're expecting to welcome them into the Air New Zealand whānau at the end of 2025 to begin their internal training. Meet three of these future aviators as they embark on their journey to become pilots. Waimarie pai! Good luck! 💜

Our suppliers play an integral role in connecting our country’s exporters, visitors, and the communities where we live, work, and fly. 🤸♂️💼✈ We want to partner with suppliers who share our commitment to environmental and social responsibility. That’s why we’ve recently updated our Supplier Code of Conduct to reinforce our expectations in areas like human rights, modern slavery, supplier diversity, climate, biodiversity, and animal welfare. Check it out: https://lnkd.in/gNQ8q84n

Building disability awareness amongst our Air New Zealand whānau: Our partnership with Project Employ has won the Diversity Impact Award at the #DiversityAwardsNZ. Fantastic to see our Flourish Café, opened in our Auckland office in 2022, being recognised for providing an employment pathway for people with disabilities. Hot coffee, anyone? ☕

Today we announced a profit for the 2024 financial year, and we want to say a heartfelt thank you to our people, customers and shareholders for your support over the past 12 months. It was a year not without its challenges, with both operational and economic headwinds. However, we know that these will pass. We remain focused on ensuring we are a future fit airline and look forward to the year ahead. #AirNewZealand #FinancialResults ✈️

It’s been decade since we made history with the first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner touching down in Auckland 🛬 🥳 “The Dreamliner was a crucial aircraft in the expansion of our network. Its design and fuel efficiency mean it’s the perfect aircraft for ultra long-haul travel. Because of the Dreamliner, we were able to expand our network in 2022 to include our flagship route to New York.” - Chief Customer and Sales Officer, Leanne Geraghty Next stop: the world-first Dreamliner retrofit! Cheers to many more years of soaring through the skies ✨ 🛫

✨ Ka mahuta a Matariki i te pae, ka mahuta ō tātou tūmanako ki te tau. When Matariki rises above the horizon, our aspirations rise to the year ahead. ✨ Matariki is a time to come together with loved ones, enjoy kai and reflect on the year that passed 🌌 Our Araraurangi Air New Zealand whānau celebrated the start of Matariki by hosting a mini-festival with Māori and Pasifika stallholders selling kai, giftware and traditional herbal remedies, cultural performances including waiata and haka, and a speaker series to share its meaning and rituals. What are your aspirations for the new year? Mānawatia a Matariki #Matariki #Matariki2024
