Rem Koolhaas b. 1944 The Hague, Netherlands
An ex-journalist and screenwriter educated in architecture at the Architecture Association in London. More of a theorist than a designer. Head architect of the Euralille project in Lille (1988). Also designed the Netherlands Dance Theater, The Hague(1988), the Netherlands Embassy in Berlin and the Nexus Housing at Fukuoka.
