Get in the loop! Reverse vending solutions for Clean Loop Recycling of drink containers. #LeadingTheResourceRevolution

Om oss

Get in the loop! It's the more rewarding way to recycle. TOMRA Collection provides reverse vending machines for Clean Loop Recycling, to transform society’s habits and keep valuable resources in a continuous loop of use and reuse. The company’s solutions collect aluminum, plastic and glass beverage containers to be continually reused and recycled back into new bottles and cans, particularly in regions with deposit return schemes. With approximately 85,000 installations across more than 60 markets, TOMRA reverse vending machines capture over 46 billion used bottles and cans each year. This reduces reliance on raw materials, and ensures fewer containers end up in our streets, oceans and landfills. TOMRA’s reverse vending machines, digital solutions and service make recycling easy for the industry, system owners, retailers and consumers to contribute to a world without waste. Visit our Reverse Vending pages on tomra.com/collection.    TOMRA Collection is a division of TOMRA Group. Today, TOMRA is Leading the Resource Revolution to transform how the planet’s resources are obtained, used and reused. The company’s other business divisions comprise TOMRA Food and TOMRA Recycling. The Group employs over 5,300 people globally and is publicly listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

Meet Silje Dale Narum, affectionately nicknamed “professional bottle picker-upper” by her kids. At TOMRA our people share our vision of Leading the Resource Revolution and are passionate about driving change. Silje shares how this passion led her to working at TOMRA, in this awesome new video! 🙌 Each year, 1.4 trillion beverage containers are used around the world, representing a vast amount of material that can be collected and reused or recycled. If this is done in the right way, we can help protect our planet by minimizing plastic pollution and litter, conserving precious resources like energy and water, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. ♻️ 🌎 #WeAreTOMRA #TOMRApassion

♻️ TOMRA Collection promotes recycling at summer festivals across Europe! 🌍 https://lnkd.in/eRRZAh5q To ensure the successful collection and recycling of empty drink containers during summer festivals, TOMRA's fast, reliable, and user-friendly reverse vending machines were placed at key locations at festivals in Serbia, Germany, Ireland, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.    These festivals, which attract thousands of people, often result in significant amounts of beverage consumption and waste. By making the return process for empty drink containers simple and enjoyable, TOMRA aimed to increase participation in recycling.   Want to learn more about how TOMRA is making a difference at festivals and beyond? #Arendalsuka We have the technology, the competence and the means to dramatically improve the level of circularity in our economy. ♾️ The Nordics can lead the way with our tradition for collaboration, high trust and tech adaptability. What we need is policy, regulations and incentives pushing for action. 🎬 These were among the main messages at the joint TOMRA and NG Group's joint Circular Stage last week at Arendalsuka, Norway’s annual democracy festival. We debated circular tech, textiles, plastics, takeaway packaging and circular reverse vending machines - and gathered promising and energetic #TrashTech start-ups during an intense day. 👏 Thanks to everyone who attended, shared insights on stage, and helped make it a fun and powerful showcase of the promise of Nordic and European circularity! Mathilde Tybring-Gjedde, Kjersti Bjørnstad, Ingrid Bergtun, Cecilie Lind, Karl Liapunov

#Retility is the next step on our journey reducing the environmental impact of our products. And, perhaps, reducing the impact of other manufacturers' products, too... 💡   This collaborative ecosystem, aligning stakeholders across the plastics value chain, was set up to effectively recycle industrial black plastics from retired TOMRA reverse vending machines, while also providing access to quality recycled content for use in the production of new TOMRA technologies. ♾️   Working with European Recycling Platform (ERP) in Norway, TOMRA reverse vending machines are responsibly decommissioned at their end of life. During disassembly, a range of black plastic parts are pre-sorted by polymer type before being passed to Polykemi, an industrial plastics compounder, to be recycled in a quality-assured material stream. The fully-documented, high-quality recycled content is then sent to TOMRA’s existing injection moulding partners to become new polymer parts.   This not only enables TOMRA to achieve full circularity across a range of polymer components found in our products, but also provides an opportunity for other producers of black-plastic based hardware to achieve the same.   To find out more 👉 https://lnkd.in/gefDs3gR   #Sustainability #PlasticsRecycling #ProductCircularity
